Frequently Asked Questions

Can this tool read damaged QR codes?
It can read many partially damaged QR codes thanks to built-in Reed-Solomon error correction. However, if too many modules are missing or blurred, decoding may fail.
Does the image leave my device?
No. All decoding happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. The image is never uploaded to any server.
What QR code content types are detected?
The analyzer recognizes URLs (http/https), email addresses (mailto), phone numbers (tel), WiFi credentials (WIFI:), vCards (BEGIN:VCARD), and plain text.
